Gravitate 2 Gratitude aims to refocus mindset
A Rigaud author whose gratitude book has become an international best-seller will be the first “in house” author featured in 2016 during an upcoming book signing at Chapters-Indigo Pointe Claire.
Carolyn Flower will be on hand to sign copies her book, Gravitate 2 Gratitude – Journal Your Journey, on Saturday, Jan. 23, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., at Chapters-Indigo, 6321, autoroute Transcanadienne, in Pointe Claire. Flower’s book, which aims to help people tap into the well-being that comes from taking the time to be grateful for things large and small, was launched in September. She says she wrote it while working on another book dedicated to living in what she calls her blended, extended family. The description seems apt considering Flower and her ex-husband, who remain good friends and who have vacationed together with their current spouses, children, pets, and more, have become role models for a marriage dissolution process known as collaborative divorce. The process is recognized in more than 20 countries. Flower says a chapter she was writing for Family Ever After, Life After Divorce, which will be released sometime this spring, led her to write the book on gratitude. And though she admits the divorce process is never easy, her inspiration for Gravitate 2 Gratitude:- Journal Your Journey, was based on taking a moment each day to be thankful for even the smallest things. The book, which is divided into five sections, teaches readers to refocus their thoughts and mindset. It begins with stories from people who use gratitude to enrich their lives and includes a 180 page journal readers are encouraged to use each day. Flower hopes people who have read the book will also stop by to share their experiences, as well as to have their copy signed.
