John Abbott College is looking for a new women’s soccer coach after head coach Valmie Ouellet resigned last week.
Ouellet, who is also head coach for the Pierrefonds Soccer Association, opted to step down after Abbott additionally lost assistant coach Ronaldo Singh, who left for a new job in Toronto.
Islanders Sports & Recreation Manager Chris Hunter said it was clear that Ouellet would not have had the time to prepare and coach the Abbott team during the 2017 season.
Hunter added that Ouellet, who coached the Islanders for the past three seasons, would be difficult to replace.
Abbott’s Sports & Recreation department is now looking for a new women’s soccer coach. Interested candidates can submit their CV to Hunter at chrishunter@johnabbott.qc.ca.
The deadline for applications is Jan. 30, 2017.
